<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">HELLO all my wonderful, amazing Lovelies!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Yes, it has been a lifetime since I've been able to post anything. Between having surgery back in June and moving to a new state, and my daughter starting kindergarten, I have been one busy little bee!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">During this time, I have come to a decision about what to do with this blog. I don't think I can maintain it the way I used to; feeling self-applied pressure to read all the time so I could have something to post about and spending hours researching book news and on and on. So what I've decided to do is change the direction of my beloved blog from strictly book reviews to pretty much whatever I want. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I will continue to read and review YA books because that is my true love, however, it will be at my leisure - so basically whenever I have the time to read, I will review the book just minus the pressure of trying to make it a weekly thing. But I will also review other things, like movies (which I did a little bit of too), tv shows as well as discuss anything else I feel will interest the general public.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I may not sound like much is changing, and there isn't, but I feel more at ease giving myself the freedom to post when I can and being able to discuss whatever else I find interesting. This will no longer be a strict book-blog.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">The changes will not be immediate, but I hope you will continue to check in and come back often once the shift has been made.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I love my followers and I have missed you so!</span></div>

Hey Everyone!</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Are you guys just as excited about The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa as I am? The Iron Fey is by far my favorite "faery tale" so when I heard that Kagawa was continuing the story with Ethan Chase, happy was just not a strong enough word to describe how I felt!</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Before I share the summary for The Lost Prince, I just wanted to say how much I love when an author creates a spin-off from one of their original series. To me this says a lot about an author; that they can see how much their fans loved the story and heard our cries for more, therefore giving it to us! That is an author who truly cares about her readers! Thank you!</div>

Hello my wonderful lovelies! I had to take a short hiatus to finish up school and take care of some personal matters but now that school is over and there are a few things in the works, I thought I'd try to get back in the blog-swing of things. </div>

The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie

unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of
humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that
killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless
creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike.<br /><br />But it isn’t
easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past
the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth

When I first heard about it I was all, "OMG Julie Kagawa wrote about vampires! It has to be the most awesome story ever!!" See how excited I was? --------></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I love the Iron Fey, I mean I ate that series right up; so when I read The Immortal Rules, I was very disappointed when I almost fell asleep! You might be wondering why I still gave it four stars, let me explain. Allie's story begins before she was made into a vampire; her scavenger-type life; fighting to survive, living by rules and in fear no human should ever have to. The characters in this part were a little superficial and I feel too much time was wasted in telling this part of the story. The middle of the story is after she is turned, the time she spends with her maker learning how to live as the thing she has feared her entire life and the thing she hates the most. Finally, the last part of the story is the time she spends with this group of traveling humans that are looking for Eden - a vampire free place that no one is sure even exists.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Here's what put me to sleep: throughout the story, Allie is fighting the vampire she has become and is trying to be as human as possible. Understandable, I guess for a time any one of us might try to maintain normalcy for as long as possible; however, in my opinion, there comes a time where acceptance is the only path left. I like my vampires to embrace their inner monster from time to time. I mean, if you're going to be supernatural, act like it!!</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I think this story could have been told just as well in less pages. There was not enough important things happening to fill up these 480 pages, but a lot more story than I think was necessary. The reason I still gave it four stars is because I can see the potential for this story. I think Allie might have an interesting background if I just stick it out until the end. The rest of the story and characters seem to serve only as ties to Allie and her humanity and maybe only one of them is essential to the actual plot.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><b>Overall:</b> I look forward to the sequel, I just hope that if it's going to be just as long that it isn't full of fluff but actual plot points and meaning.</span></div>

<i>Chapter One</i></div>

</div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani
pressed his forehead against the chilly window-pane, fighting back a
wave of exhaustion. Sleep wasn’t an option, not while the only thing
between him and an angry Winter faerie was a thin line of table-salt. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tonight, he was </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Fear-gleidhidh </i><i>twice over.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>The
old word was one he normally wore with pride. It marked him as Laurel’s
guardian, her protector. But it had a richer meaning, one that went
beyond the more traditional </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Am-fear-faire</i><i>.</i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> Fear-gleidhidh</i><i> meant </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">warden</i><i>
and Tamani was charged with not only keeping Laurel safe, but making
certain she accomplished the mission Avalon had given her as a child.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Now he played prison warden, too.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>He
looked over at his captive. Yuki’s chair sat on the scuffed linoleum in
the middle of a thick circle of white, granular salt. She slept, her
cheek resting on her knees, hands remained cuffed loosely behind her.
She looked uncomfortable. Beaten. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Harmless.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“I would have given up everything for you.” Her voice was hushed but clear.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Not sleeping after all. And she could never be harmless</i><i>,
he reminded himself. The small white flower blooming from the middle of
her back, marking her a Winter faerie, was proof enough of that. It had
been over an hour since David cuffed her to the chair—an hour since
Chelsea had exposed the irrefutable proof that she was, in fact a Winter
faerie—and Tamani still hadn’t gotten used to the sight. It filled him
with an icy fear he had rarely felt before. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“I
was ready. That’s why I stopped you before you brought me inside.” Yuki
looked up and unfolded her legs, stretching as best she could under the
circumstances. “But you knew that, didn’t you?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani held his tongue. He </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">had</i><i>
known. And for a moment he’d been tempted to let her make her
confession. But it wouldn’t have ended well. Yuki would eventually have
discovered that his affections were a sham, and then he would be at the
mercy of a Winter faerie scorned. Better to cut the charade short. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>He
hoped he wasn’t deceiving himself about that. She posed a threat; he
shouldn’t have felt any guilt about lying to her in the first place,
much less now that he knew she’d been lying too. The power Winter
faeries had over plants also made it possible for them to sense
plant-life at a distance, so from the instant Yuki had met Tamani, she
had known him for a faerie. Known Laurel, too. She had played them all.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>So why did he still wonder whether he’d done the right thing? </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“We
could have been so good together, Tam,” Yuki continued, her voice silky
as her rumpled silver dress, but with a malicious edge that made Tamani
shiver. “Laurel’s not going to leave him for you. She may be a faerie
on the outside, but inside she’s all human. David or no David, she
belongs </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">here</i><i>, and you know it.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Avoiding
his captain’s eyes, Tamani turned back to the window and peered out
into the darkness, pretending to look at . . . something. Anything. A
sentry’s life was full of viciousness and Tamani and Shar had both seen
each other take extreme measures to protect their homeland. But always
against an obvious threat, a violent attacker, a </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">proven</i><i> foe. </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Trolls</i><i> were their enemy—had </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">always </i><i>been. Winter faeries were the rulers of Avalon and though Yuki had deceived them, she’d never actually </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">harmed</i><i> them. Somehow, putting her in chains felt worse than killing a hundred trolls. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“You
and me, Tam, we’re the same,” Yuki continued. “We’re being used by
people who don’t care what we want or what makes us happy. We don’t
belong with them; we belong together.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Reluctantly,
Tamani glanced at her again. He was surprised to see that she wasn’t
looking at him as she spoke—she was staring past him, out the window, as
if at some bright future she still imagined possible. Tamani knew
better. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“There
isn’t a door in this world that can be closed to us, Tam. If you
vouched for me, we could even go peacefully to Avalon. We could stay
there together and live in the palace.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“How
do you know about the palace?” Tamani asked reflexively, knowing even
as he did that he was snapping at her bait. A barely audible sigh came
from Shar, and Tamani wondered if it was directed at Yuki’s stupidity or
his own.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Or
we could stay here,” she continued, calmly, as though Tamani hadn’t
said anything. “Anywhere we wanted to go, anything we wanted to do, we
could. Between your power over animals and mine over plants, the world
would be ours. You know, the pairing of a Spring and Winter would work
really well. Our talents complement each other perfectly.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani wondered if she understood just how right she was—or how little it tempted him.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“I
would have loved you forever,” she whispered, bowing her head. Her
dark, lustrous hair fell forward, veiling her face, and she sniffled
quietly. Was she crying, or stifling a laugh?</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani
startled when a knock sounded at the door. Before he could take a step,
Shar moved silently to the peephole. Knife in his fist, Tamani
tensed—ready. Was it Klea? That’s what everything was for—the circle,
Yuki in cuffs—an elaborate trap to snare the scheming Fall faeriewho </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">might</i><i> be trying to kill them.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>And might not.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>If only they could know for sure.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Until they did, Tamani had to assume they were a threat—a lethal one.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>But with a shimmer of a grimace Shar pulled the door open and Laurel entered the room, Chelsea close behind her.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>“Laurel,”
was all Tamani managed to say, his fingers falling from the knife. Even
after loving Laurel for as long as he could remember, and lately
becoming something . . . something </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">more</i><i>, he still felt a leap of joy every time he saw her.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She
had changed out of her dark-blue formal—the one she’d worn when he held
her in his arms over a year ago at the Samhain festival, when he’d
kissed her so passionately. It seemed so far away. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel wasn’t looking at him; she only had eyes for Yuki.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“You shouldn’t be here,” Tamani whispered.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel arched one eyebrow in response. “I wanted to see for myself.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani clenched his teeth. In truth, he </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">did</i><i> want her there, but his own selfish desires were at odds with his concern for her safety. Would he </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">ever</i><i> be able to satisfy both? </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“I
thought you were going after David,” Tamani said to Chelsea, who was
still in her deep-red formal. She’d ditched her heels somewhere, so the
bottom of the dress pooled at her feet like blood.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“I
couldn’t find him,” Chelsea said, her lip quivering almost
imperceptibly. She looked at Laurel, who was still studying their silent
prisoner. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Yuki?” Laurel said tentatively. “Are you okay?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Yuki
looked up, glaring at Laurel with steel and fury. “Do I look okay to
you? I’ve been abducted! I’m handcuffed to a metal chair! How would </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">you</i><i> be?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>The
Winter faerie’s venomous tone seemed to hit Laurel like a breaking wave
and she took a step backward. “I came to check on you.” Laurel glanced
at Tamani, but Tamani wasn’t sure what she wanted. Encouragement?
Permission? He offered her a pained grimace and a tiny, helpless shrug.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel
turned back to Yuki, the Winter faerie’s expression unreadable, her
chin held high. “What does Klea want from me?” Laurel asked.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani didn’t expect her to answer, but Yuki met Laurel’s gaze and simply said, “Nothing.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Then why did you come?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Yuki smiled now, a crooked, mischievous smile. “I didn’t say she </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">never</i><i> wanted anything. But she doesn’t need you anymore.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel’s eyes darted to Tamani, then to Shar, before returning to Yuki.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Laurel,
listen,” Yuki said, her voice quiet, comforting. “This whole charade is
completely unnecessary. I’ll talk to you if you just get me out of
here.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“That’s enough,” Tamani said. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Step
in here and shut me up,” Yuki said, glaring at Tamani before turning
back to Laurel. “I’ve never done anything to hurt you and you </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">know</i><i> I could have. I could have killed you a million times, but I didn’t. Doesn’t that count for anything?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani
opened his mouth, but Laurel laid a hand on his chest, silencing him.
“You’re right. But you’re a Winter faerie. You hid that, even though you
had to know about us. Why?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Why do you think? The moment your soldier friends found out what I was, they chained me to a chair!”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani hated that she was right—that Laurel wouldn’t be able to deny it.</i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Okay,
well, maybe we just need to start over,” Laurel said. “If we can all
figure this out before Klea shows up, even better. If you could just
tell us—”</i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Tamani has the keys,” Yuki said, looking over at him, malice gleaming in her eyes. “Let me out of here, I’ll tell you </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">whatever </i><i>you want to know.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“No deal,” Tamani said, doing his best to sound bored.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel spoke to Yuki again, cutting them off. “It’s probably safest for everyone if—” </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“No!” Yuki shouted. “I can’t believe you’re even a part of this! After what they did to you? To your parents?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani frowned; what did Laurel’s parents have to do with anything? </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>But Laurel was already shaking her head. “Yuki, I don’t like that they made me forget. But I can’t change the past—”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Forget? I’m not talking about memory elixirs. What about the </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">poison?</i><i>”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Oh, come on—” Tamani blurted. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Laurel shushed him. “Yuki, do you know who poisoned my father?” </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Tamani
was pretty certain of the answer, and he knew Laurel was too—it had to
have been Klea. But if Laurel could convince Yuki to confirm their
suspicions . . .</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Your father?” Yuki looked confused. “Why would they poison your father? I’m talking about your </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">mother</i><i>.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>Again Laurel looked at Tamani, and he shook his head with a tiny shrug. What was Yuki playing at? </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“You don’t even know, do you? Big coincidence that the couple who </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">happened</i><i> to own the land around the gate just </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">happened </i><i>to be childless—waiting for a little blonde baby to pop into their lives. How . . . convenient. Wouldn’t you say?”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“That’s
enough,” Tamani said sharply. He should have guessed; more games. Yuki
was just looking for ways to get them doubting themselves—and each
other. </i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“They
did that,” Yuki said. “Fifteen years before you even showed up on their
doorstep, the faeries made sure your mother was baby-hungry enough to
take you without question. They damaged her, Laurel. Made sure she could
never have her own children. They ruined her life and you’re siding
with them.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Don’t listen to her, Laurel. It’s not true,” Tamani said. “She’s just trying to get into your head.”</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: 200%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<i>“Am I? Why don’t we ask </i><i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">him</i><i>?”</i></div>

<i><b>Synopsis:</b> <span id="freeText8993578283899350602">"I don't love Sonny Flannery."</span> </i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>That's the lie Kelley Winslow told to protect the boy she loves from a
power he doesn't know he possesses. Devastated, Sonny retreats—to a
haven for Lost Fae that's hidden deep underneath New York City.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>But
Kelley's not about to let things end in heartbreak. To get Sonny back,
she's got to find out who's after his magick—and how to use her own.
She's got to uncover who's recruiting Janus Guards to murderously hunt
innocent Faerie. She's got to help rebuild the shattered theater company
she called family. And she's got to do it all without getting
dangerously distracted by the Fennrys Wolf, whose legendary heart of
stone seems to melt whenever he's around Kelley.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>The intrigue and romance that began with <i>Wondrous Strange</i> and <i>Darklight</i> come to a stormy head in <i>Tempestuous</i>, the breathtaking conclusion to Lesley Livingston's ravishing urban Faerie trilogy.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<b>My Review:</b> Once again, Sonny and Kelley are not with each other; Kelley lied and said she didn't love Sonny at the end of Darklight in order to get Sonny to leave. This was supposed to protect him from his inner Green Magick to which Kelley seems to trigger. So now Sonny's in one place and Kelley in another. She won't tell anyone what's going on in fear that his secret will get out and someone will try to kill him. It was kind of annoying that I had to wait for the recap in the next book to fully understand what happened in the previous one. I found that sometimes in this series when things would come to light, mostly at the end of the book, it wasn't really laid out or explained well enough that I was absolutely sure what happened. Maybe it's just me, but Kelley seems to be overreacting about
Sonny's...uh...outburst in the Avalon Theater. I mean, he killed that
bad guys. It's what he does for a living. Where's the problem?</div>

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
There's a lot of temptation going on in this book directed at both Sonny and Kelley. Their physical separation and Sonny believing Kelley really never loved him; is creating room for others to slip in between them. With little struggle, they have to often remind themselves of their love for each other. You know I love a good love-triangle, but this guy, The Fennrys Wolf, is just WRONG! He's so sneaky! Here's what I'm wondering: Why did Sonny Flannery get such a weak name and Fennrys got such a bad boy name like the Wolf? Yeah, yeah, I know, the whole Irish background and all. Speaking of which, I really need to work on my Irish brogue because I think it was coming out (in my head, of course) kind of Scottish.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
This
was a tricky, twisty plot and everywhere you turn, you don't know who
to trust! Or you know who you can't trust and you're screaming at the
pages wishing you could warn the characters. There was a surprise at the end that I REALLY didn't see coming. I don't think I liked it. But I loved the book as a whole; the people, the places, all of it.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<b>Overall:</b> Tons of romance, lots of faerie magick wielding and twists and turns. If you like faeries mixed in with humans, as they so often are, this is a must read! </div>

If you're excited about this too, you have to <a href="http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2012/03/16/mortal-instruments-city-of-bones-director-cassandra-clare/" target="_blank">READ THIS</a> before you go any further!<br />
<br />
Did you read it? Awesome, right? I know. Harald Zwart sounds like an amazing director and I'm starting to get good feelings about this flick! I LOVE this series so naturally I'm <i>really</i> hoping they do it right. The production team has a lot of work to do and even more expectations to live up to.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm not sure who those other guys are but this looks like a pretty good cast to me! As we all know by now, so far only Lily Collins has been cast to play Clary Fray. Personally, I think <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1641117/" target="_blank">Alex Pettyfer</a> is the only man that could be Jace. I think <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2570429/" target="_blank">Jamie Campbell Bower</a> is too young in the face and doesn't do back-off-I'm-dangerous very well either.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is him in New Moon as Caius; just one of the most (supposed) ruthless in the Volturi coven. I'm sorry but...I'm just not buying it. This look doesn't say "fear me"; it says "Meow. Grr baby, yeah!" - say that in you're Austin Powers voice and you got it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I want Jace's actor to strike me as someone that I need to keep an eye on and at the same time, someone I can't take my eyes off!</div>

<i><b>Synopsis:</b> <span id="freeText14179782650500299709">Much has changed since
autumn, when Kelley Winslow learned she was a Faerie princess, fell in
love with changeling guard Sonny Flannery, and saved the mortal realm
from the ravages of the Wild Hunt.
<br />
<br />Now Kelley is stuck in New York City, rehearsing Romeo and Juliet
and missing Sonny more with every stage kiss, while Sonny has been
forced back to the Otherworld and into a deadly game of cat and mouse
with the remaining Hunters and Queen Mabh herself.
<br />
<br />When a terrifying encounter sends Kelley tumbling into the
Otherworld, her reunion with Sonny is joyful but destined to be cut
short. An ancient, hidden magick is stirring, and a dangerous new enemy
is willing to risk everything to claim that power.</span></i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i><span id="freeText14179782650500299709">Caught in a web of Faerie deception and shifting allegiances, Kelley
and Sonny must tread carefully, for each next step could topple a
kingdom . . . or tear them apart.
<br />
<br />With breathtakingly high stakes, the talented Lesley Livingston delivers soaring romance and vividly magical characters in <i>Darklight</i>, the second novel in the trilogy that began with <i>Wondrous Strange</i>.</span></i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709"><b>My Review:</b> Within the connection Sonny and Kelley have, a ton of lies are woven; those told to them and by them. Her parents have been keeping secrets and secrets have even been kept from them. When a stranger attacks Kelley in Central Park all hell breaks loose when Kelley opens a rift that drops her and the Fennrys Wolf in the Otherworld.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709"><br /></span></div>

<span id="freeText14179782650500299709"></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709">Sonny and Kelley are a really cute couple but because of the danger that surrounds them both, they spend a lot of time apart. This leaves Kelley spending plenty of one on one time with the Wolf. No bueno.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709">Some of the other characters come into play in this book but the Puck here is SO not the Puck I knew in the Iron Fey! THAT Puck would never run from a fight!</span><span id="freeText14179782650500299709"> Queen Mabh is another character we get to see more of in this sequel. I've always known Mabh to be the frigid Ice Queen of Winter but in this faery tale, she is the Queen of Autumn...and not so very frigid. I'm not quite sure what to make of her yet, but I'm keeping a close eye on her! I do not trust Auberon as far as I could throw him - and as a mortal I'm sure that wouldn't be far at all. I don't trust the Summer Queen, Titiana, either. I've learned enough not to trust a faery who appears to be trustworthy. Especially the royal ones. I'm pretty sure Titiana is the one who started this whole thing in the first place, from blowing Mabh's war horn to everything else.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709"><br /></span><br />
<span id="freeText14179782650500299709">This sequel was equally exciting
as the first. So many twists and turns and reveals it makes your head
spin! plus, while truths are coming to light, the fact that we still
don't know half of what's going on is also revealed. </span><span id="freeText14179782650500299709">I wish there was more I could tell you but I'm afraid I might spoil something. So just know that it was AWESOME and a MUST-READ!</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">Hey guys; this review was accidentally erased when I tried to publish it from my iPad - which I will never attempt to do again, grrr - so it's a little short since I had to rewrite it unexpectedly. Sorry about that. Still, don't let that take away from the book, because it was awesome!</span></span></div>

<i><b>Synopsis:</b> <span id="freeText2410766709218949282">17 year-old Kelley
Winslow doesn’t believe in Faeries. Not unless they’re the kind that you
find in a theatre, spouting Shakespeare—the kind that Kelley so
desperately wishes she could be: onstage, under lights, with a pair of
sparkly wings strapped to her shoulders. But as the understudy in a
two-bit, hopelessly off-off-Broadway production of A Midsummer Night’s
Dream, wishing is probably the closest she’s going to get to becoming a
Faerie Queen. At least, that’s what she thinks... </span></i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i><span id="freeText2410766709218949282">In this fun, urban
fantasy, Kelley's off-stage life suddenly becomes as complicated as one
of Shakespeare’s plot twists when a nighttime trip to Central Park holds
more than meets the mortal eye</span></i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><b>My Review:</b> I love that Shakespeare's <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1622.A_Midsummer_Night_s_Dream" target="_blank">A Midsummer Night's Dream</a> is incorporated into this story because that includes Puck - which reminds me of the Iron Fey! That makes me happy =] Then I find out that the main character Kelley, moved to New York City from the Catskills - which is where I live! So even though I hate that her name is Kelley and think she should've been named Emma instead of her Aunt; I forgive that because of her hometown. Lol. I hate Sonny's name even more though.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282">I really like Kelley. No, I mean really like her. She is completely believable; so much so that she reminds me a lot of myself - outspoken and sarcastic. What I liked most about her is that it didn't take long for her to accept the whole faerie thing. We didn't have to waste a lot of time trying to convince her of their existence and her being one of them.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282">Sonny is a very likeable character as well. He struggles to fulfill his duty as a Janus Guard and stay away from the puzzle of a read head he just happened to come across in Central Park.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282">I'm not really sure I know the storyline exactly. I get what's going on but the intricacies are confusing. The whos, the whats and the whys. I kept getting mixed up.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText2410766709218949282"><b>Overall:</b> The climax was so suspenseful, nail-biting! The book is full of great characters who's whole story you can't wait to find out!</span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">It was really hard for me to find a book with a cover that I didn't love because I am guilty of judging books by their covers. I don't usually even pick up a book if I don't love the cover. This book was actually sent to me by the author to review and it turned out to be a great coming of age story. This is usually not my cup of tea - which is why I chose this cover - because I always go for the book with <i>at least</i> <i>one</i> supernatural being of some kind. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this book and if I remember correctly, there was even a moment when I cried a little. Although the situations are not the same it was a great self-reflection, coming-of-age story!</span></span></span></div>

So what do you guys think about the casting of <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002536/" target="_blank">Emmy Rossum</a> as Ridley in the Beautiful Creatures film?</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Now don't get me wrong, Rossum is a beautiful girl and a great actress, I just don't think she fits the part of Ridley. She doesn't really look at all how I pictured the lollipop-sucking troublemaker and I hope they plan to dye her hair a lighter color and give her some bad-ass lessons so she can live up to the title.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EGfl9tzORL0/T1fZ_y9vRMI/AAAAAAAABxQ/EeBh66zI_rc/s1600/ridley2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EGfl9tzORL0/T1fZ_y9vRMI/AAAAAAAABxQ/EeBh66zI_rc/s1600/ridley2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7GYDIKdkGbI/T1fZ_p4cCCI/AAAAAAAABxM/rhd0eAjCVpM/s1600/ridley1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7GYDIKdkGbI/T1fZ_p4cCCI/AAAAAAAABxM/rhd0eAjCVpM/s1600/ridley1.jpg" /></a>Now, I don't know who this young lady to my left is with half a face but from what I can see she makes a better looking Ridley than Rossum does. I gotta be honest, I'm already a little worried about the Beautiful Creatures movie because I don't agree with their casting choices so far. I guess I can always keep my fingers crossed that their acting will make up for none of them physically fitting the part.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">

<i><b>Synopsis:</b> The Summer King is
missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of
Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and
yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan
works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia
longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for
battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High
Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final
conflict, some will win . . . and some will lose "everything." </i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>The thrilling conclusion to Melissa Marr's "New York Times" bestselling Wicked Lovely series will leave readers breathless.</i></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<b>My Review:</b> I was so anxious to get to this book because I knew all the stories would be told at once and we would get to hear from everyone; like Donia, whom we haven't seen since Fragile Eternity. At this point in the story, everything is a mess! War is threatening all the courts, Keenan is missing, things are looking pretty bad - to say the least. And Niall? All I can say about Niall is, "Niall, Niall, Niall." SMH. If I said more than that I'd spoil it for you.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Okay, <i>maaybe </i>I shouldn't have jumped on the "Team Seth" band wagon so quickly because I am completely on Keenan's side. The last couple of books I began to feel the pull toward the other side but this one really did me in! Maybe I connect with Keenan or feel for him more because I a Summer baby and I love everything Summer - or perhaps that's me just trying to justify me switching teams. And it's not that I like Seth any less but I do agree he gets in the way of the court.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Even though I give this book a high rating, it did not have the ending I would have preferred. I knew by book 2 or 3 that it wasn't going to but I guess for many others it ended perfectly. </div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
the mortals that get involved with these faeries become so inducted into that world that it's as if they were never mortals. For example, Donia and Aislinn. They didn't just become faeries and then sent on their merry way to go frolic in the fields or have snowball fights. No, they were made into faeries that held important positions - Winter Girl and Summer Queen. There are more examples but I won't ruin the surprise!</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<b>Overall:</b> I laughed, I cringed, I was shocked and I cried. Literally. I absolutely adore this series! Plus, I cannot wait to read Melissa Marr's <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8576171-faery-tales-nightmares" target="_blank">Faery Tales & Nightmares</a>! </div>

<i><span id="freeText1673581490115797179">Dangerous promises and
beguiling threats swirl together in a dozen stories of enchantments dark
and light by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr. Uncanny
and unexpected creatures appear from behind bushes, rise from beneath
the seas, or manifest from seasonal storms to pursue the objects of
their attention—with amorous or sinister intent—relentlessly.
<br />
<br />From the gentle tones of a storyteller’s cadences to the terror of a

novels mix with accounts of new characters for readers to fall in love

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
What a year! Juggling blogging, going back to college and my hyper-active four-year old has made for tons of stress and hair pulling but what I think I've really learned about blogging this year is that no matter how crazy, hectic or mad things get, I could never let go of my wonderful blog and followers! And it's you guys that I would like to celebrate this month with a major Buffy the Vampire Slayer giveaway with a surprise giveaway at the end of the month!</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
So let's get with the giving away, shall we? There's going to be a lot up for grabs so I'll try to make it easy to understand. I have <b>17 </b>Buffy paperbacks with Buffy swag to give away all month long. The last week of March will be a surprise giveaway that you will just have to come back to find out what it is!</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
Starting today, there will be one new giveaway each week ending March 31st. Winners will be announced at the end of each week on Sundays. So there are FOUR giveaways total. Oh, and each giveaway will have three prizes and three winners. Confused yet? So am I. The easiest way to find out what I'm giving away will be to check in each week on Monday to find out! Hopefully the first one will show how it's done.</div>

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rPQM_3hjkvw/T06dm0jEXaI/AAAAAAAABwU/mWHxR6KYSpo/s1600/lovetriangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rPQM_3hjkvw/T06dm0jEXaI/AAAAAAAABwU/mWHxR6KYSpo/s1600/lovetriangle.jpg" /></a></div>
What is it about a good love triangle that just keeps us turning the pages, picking "teams" and falling in love with one and admonishing the other? It's because they're just so juicy, aren't they? We love debating why we picked who we picked and why the other sucks and doesn't deserve the girl (or guy).<br />
<br />
I've noticed that there are love triangles in just about every book I read. Sometimes they're subtle; like the one in the middle doesn't even have feelings for the third wheel. Other times, we watch a character go back and forth and fight with their feelings for two people.<br />
<br />
I thought it'd be fun to take a look at a few well known love-triangle threesomes!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gyb-eXBSAAs/T06U4W2-9gI/AAAAAAAABv0/EvTgDXiDHR8/s1600/TwilightLoveTriangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gyb-eXBSAAs/T06U4W2-9gI/AAAAAAAABv0/EvTgDXiDHR8/s1600/TwilightLoveTriangle.jpg" /></a>1. Let's get the obvious one out of the way - Twilight.This triangle worked so well because Bella had genuine feelings for Jacob even though she was in love with Edward. She knew Jacob had a place in her life, she just didn't know where he fit. Plus, Edward and Jacob are both totally loveable so as readers, it's even hard for us to pick a side!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VuIpd993xq0/T06U3piHy_I/AAAAAAAABvs/AT32Dl9Fwdw/s1600/PeterPan+LoveTriangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VuIpd993xq0/T06U3piHy_I/AAAAAAAABvs/AT32Dl9Fwdw/s1600/PeterPan+LoveTriangle.jpg" /></a>2. Peter Pan - Wendy - Tinkerbell.<br />
This one is a little tricky. Peter Pan and Tink have been together, well, always, but then he finds Wendy and brings her home! Naturally, Tink ain't having that so she plots against them with Captain Hook to get rid of Wendy. Hey, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"; am I right?! =]<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NRh0yN4Ivu4/T06U4z6dE5I/AAAAAAAABv8/pVZIrqF372s/s1600/VDLoveTriangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NRh0yN4Ivu4/T06U4z6dE5I/AAAAAAAABv8/pVZIrqF372s/s1600/VDLoveTriangle.jpg" /></a>3. Vampire Diaries<br />
Now this one is my favorite! I've always liked Stefan but due to recent events; such as his "Ripper" days coming back to haunt him and his loss of humanity, I'm really feeling Elena being with Damon. Now, I know it will never happen but I also know she loves them both! And all those little moments she has with Damon - especially their kiss - are just so damn delicious, I can't bear to miss a second!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqbGg8VmbxeecX9WoagB4tKjMTj9Ety5Yfsf5e6wXCkxbE0iK4r5z22N9UE69EiUA_Ns97wixW4ZPeUaf_iovby_YzKyDeXqKPa71Ssi0g-73bZmEq_AjB0f8i7MIGXWOGO8frB73SkdD4/s1600/true+blood+lovetriangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqbGg8VmbxeecX9WoagB4tKjMTj9Ety5Yfsf5e6wXCkxbE0iK4r5z22N9UE69EiUA_Ns97wixW4ZPeUaf_iovby_YzKyDeXqKPa71Ssi0g-73bZmEq_AjB0f8i7MIGXWOGO8frB73SkdD4/s1600/true+blood+lovetriangle.jpg" /></a></div>
4. True Blood<br />
Okay, this threesome gets me all kinds of crazy! I simply love Sookie and Eric together but in the show, the way she holds on to her feelings for Bill and keeps Eric at arms length drives me absolutely nuts!! I want the show to go exactly as the book did so each episode I end up holding my breath til the very end!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are some other love triangles that I just love:<br />
<br />
5. Seth, Aislinn and Keenan from Wicked Lovely. It didn't turn out the way I had hoped but I still loved every minute of it!<br />
<br />
6. Sonny, Kelley and The Fennrys Wolf from Wondrous Strange. This one wasn't a hard decision but there was that moment when I think we all thought she might be persuaded to go in another direction!<br />
<br />
7. Adrian, Rose and Dimitri from Vampire Academy. For me, this was a no-brainer but Rose really had us going for while there, didn't she? I'm just glad she came to her senses; and so did Dimitri! Phew!<br />
<br />
8. Ash, Meghan and Puck from The Iron Fey. This was such a sweet love story although I did feel pretty bad for Puck. Waiting around all that time and then she falls in love with someone else! Man, that's messed up! The only thing that bugged me was that Meghan and Ash fell in love in a matter of days with very little romance. But hey, it all worked out I guess. Well, maybe with the exception of Puck ending up alone!<br />
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
9. Last but certainly not least, Tamani, Laurel and David from Wings. This story isn't over yet so Laurel still hasn't picked her man. But I tell you this, if she doesn't pick Tam I will be HIGHLY disappointed! Okay, that might be an understatement - I'll be PISSED!!! I finally got my BFF to read this series and she is Team Tam all the way!! I can not wait for <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12846479-destined" target="_blank">Destined</a> May 1st, 2012 to find out what happens! It's too far away!<br />
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
I know there are a ton of great love triangles out there, so feel free to comment with some of your faves!</div>

I really wasn't sure if there was going to be another installment of one of my favorite bad-ass vamps, Nathaniel Cade. The last time we saw him he was battling some serious lizard-like creatures and damn near got his head ripped off more than once. I love the whole blood oath thing and sincerely wonder if by the end of his story, if Cade will find a way to break the oath and be free.<br />
<br />
The only thing I do not care for is the cover. What is that a gate he's walking towards? But the reason I don't like it is because it's in color when the previous two covers were all black and white...and blood red. I wish it had stuck to the theme. Still, I'm not worried about the story itself, I know it will be awesome!<br />

<i> Half-human and half-faery, Ani is driven by her hungers. </i></div>
<div style="background-color: #ea9999; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>
Those same appetites also attract powerful enemies and uncertain
allies, including Devlin. He was created as an assassin and is brother
to the faeries' coolly logical High Queen and to her chaotic twin, the
embodiment of War. Devlin wants to keep Ani safe from his sisters,
knowing that if he fails, he will be the instrument of Ani's death.</i></div>
<div style="background-color: #ea9999; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i>
Ani isn't one to be guarded while others fight battles for her, though.
She has the courage to protect herself and the ability to alter
Devlin's plans--and his life. The two are drawn together, each with
reason to fear the other and to fear "for" one another. But as they grow
closer, a larger threat imperils the whole of Faerie. Will saving the
faery realm mean losing each other? </i></div>
<div style="background-color: #ea9999; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<i> Alluring romance,
heart-stopping danger, and sinister intrigue combine in the penultimate
volume of Melissa Marr's "New York Times" bestselling Wicked Lovely
series.</i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;"><i><b>My Review: </b></i>When I read the jacket and saw that this book was going to be about Ani and Devlin, I wasn't happy. I did want to know more about them - just not in their own book; especially after the way <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5152561-fragile-eternity" target="_blank">Fragile Eternity</a> ended! We haven't seen Ani since <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2321296.Ink_Exchange" target="_blank">Ink Exchange</a> and I've always wondered what important role she was going to play. Devlin was a mysterious character as well from his first appearance in the story.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Ani is reckless but loyal as all hell. She's young and confused, she doesn't know how to control her need to feed off of both touch and emotions, from both humans and faeries - and how to keep it all a secret. It's because of her abilities that she has drawn the attention of Sorcha and Bananach. There's something very special about her that has everyone going to great lengths to either use, protect, or destroy her. Among those trying to protect her is Devlin. His motives for doing so are very suspicious and possibly unbeknownst to even him! Another mysterious character comes into play; her name is Rae and she is neither faerie or mortal. She is friends with Devlin - weird - and she knows more about what's going on with Ani than she can tell him.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">There are a million little cliffhangers in this book. Everything is just a tease - giving you only enough to make you keep turning the pages. Halfway through the book I was liking Ani more and more. She's definitely a magnet for trouble! Devlin is the kind of character that immediately evokes pity. He has no real control over his life, nothing to call his own, nowhere to retire for peace. He needs a friggin' hug! You know he needs love in his life and you just want him to have it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Melissa Marr has a great way of conveying <u><i>need</i></u>. Need is not to be confused with lust or want or desire. In all the books of this series, each faery has a sincere need for someone. My favorite is Keenan and Aislinn. The way they need to be near each other, the way it feels when they're apart and when they strengthen their court together - it's beautiful. The loss Keenan feels at every one of Ailinn's rejections is so painful, and knowing Aislinn feels it too, the way she needs Keenan the same way he needs her but refuses to give in, hurts all the more.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;"><i><b>Overall:</b></i> More twists and turns and a very satisfying ending. I ended up really loving Ani and Devlin - they are just absolutely adorable! </span></div>

<span id="freeText6439633610780723729">This time around we get to see things through the eyes of the only one to remain 100% mortal and who willingly stays with the faeries - Seth Morgan. If you haven't read my review of Wicked Lovely, let me inform you that I love Seth. Always with the right words at the right time. The only mortal to not only freely move throughout a few of the Faerie Courts, Summer, Winter and Dark; but to also have close relationships with all of the Courts' kings and queens! Seth sometimes has a hard time being around faeries all the time, even Aislinn now that she's immortal. She's his forever girl, but, he's the only one that won't last that long. Spending time with her reminds him of how different she's become and how fragile he is as a human.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729">The problem in this book is that Seth has become a little too popular among the fey for his own good. So popular, that Bananach in particular has become quite interested in him. We all know that in the wake of Bananach is nothing but death and destruction. One thing I've learned about the raven-haried faery is how she likes to get what she wants and to do so, she whispers into the ears of others, recruiting them to unwittingly do her bidding.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729">The High Court is another one of the Faery Courts, whose Queen is Sorcha. She is mentioned in the earlier books but never discussed in depth or introduced in the actual story (unless you read Old Habits). Sorcha's role is to maintain order; not like faery police but her mere existence keeps all of Faerie balanced. Yet, Sorcha begins to have feelings and emotions that are irrational and therefore are disrupting the balance and there is only one unexpected person that can fix everything. As if all that wasn't enough - the problems between Aislinn and Seth, Seth and Bananach, Seth and the other courts - things between Keenan and Donia get even more complex. Loving each other and it being impossible to be together makes it hard to cope. There is tension between the courts and Seth is right in the middle of it all. The tension comes directly from Nial, Keenan, Aislinn and Bananach; each of them trying to remind the other of their own strength.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729">Okay, even though I've already sworn my fealty to Seth, there's a large part of me that really wants Keenan and Aislinn to be together, I would hate for Seth to be dumped but I'm sure there a nice Summer Girl out there that could serve as a pleasant distraction.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText6439633610780723729"><b>Overall:</b> There are unbelievable twists, turns and surprises. You can't stop reading this series, you have to know what's going to happen next. Right now everything is a mess and I need to know how we're going to fix it so that everyone gets what they want, everyone is where they want to be and with the one they want to be with? I need my happily ever after here! If I didn't have the whole series and was unable to read them back to back, I would go mad!</span></div>

<br />Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl
in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden
visions from the past.
<br />
<br />Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her.
<br />
<br />But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart.
Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns.
Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse
racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything
to win her back?
<br />
<br />One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon.
Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has
suddenly disappeared.</span></div>

<span id="freeText1962495899506505884">It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”
<br />
<br />Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to
get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your
mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her
sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo
weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.
<br />
<br />Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have
prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love
with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh,
and same goes for her.
<br />
<br />A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of
humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want,
but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When
angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot
worse than betting on Violet Eden…

a boy with a destiny not even he fully understands. And his first
mandate is to stay alive while everyone, even his own father, tries to

<br />
<br />When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old
Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where
a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of
good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic
descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and
future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to
accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the
angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood
friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be
hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to
resist, even for an angel.

Okay, discussion. I don't like the actor for Ethan. I don't see myself melting over him anytime soon but I guess I can hold out hope that he looks a little better for the movie. I think they picked a very good actress for Lena - I believe she really looks the part. Viola Davis for Amma I think is a mistake; she's a great actress, I just never pictured Amma looking like her. For Mrs. Lincoln, I'm not sure if I had a picture of her character in my head but Emma Thompson is a phenomenal actress and I believe she will play the part very well.</div>

Richard LaGravenese, director and screenplay writer for movies such as P.S. I Love You and Water for Elephants, will be both for the Beautiful Creatures film. I'm liking the sound of this so far. Fingers crossed Casters!Whoo Hoo! </div>

<i><span id="freeText18133708042937515208"><b>You will kill. The only question is when.</b>
<br />
<br />In the dark days since the insidious Red Lung virus decimated the
human population, vampires have risen to rule the crumbling cities and
suburbs. Uncontested Princes hold sway over diminished ranks of humans:
their "pets." In exchange for their labor, loyalty and of course, their
blood, these pets are registered, given food and shelter, permitted to
survive.
<br />
<br />Unregistered humans cling to fringes, scavenging for survival.
Allison Sekemoto and her fellow Unregistereds are hunted, not only by
vampires, but by rabids, the unholy result of Red Lung-infected vampires
feeding on unwary humans. One night, Allie is attacked by a pack of
rabids, saved by an unlikely hero...and turned vampire.
<br />
<br />Uncomfortable in her undead skin, Allie falls in with a ragtag crew
of humans seeking a cure, or cures: for Rabidism and for Vampirism.
She's passing for human...for now. But the hunger is growing and will
not be denied. Not for friendship—not even for love.</span></i></div>
