So, I knew this was going to happen. Nobody wants to enter a giveaway for some classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer paperbacks and swag. That's alright. I see how it is.

So what I've decided to do is a little giveaway change-up. I'll run one giveaway instead of four for the rest of the month - the one that I was going to do the last week of March.

For this giveaway, you will have the chance to win ANY new release from the month of March 2012. If you're name is picked, I will personally purchase the new release of YOUR CHOICE, and have it sent directly to you. But you know, hey, if you don't want to enter and save me some money; that's cool, too.

Blogoversary Giveaway #1!!!!

What a year! Juggling blogging, going back to college and my hyper-active four-year old has made for tons of stress and hair pulling but what I think I've really learned about blogging this year is that no matter how crazy, hectic or mad things get, I could never let go of my wonderful blog and followers! And it's you guys that I would like to celebrate this month with a major Buffy the Vampire Slayer giveaway with a surprise giveaway at the end of the month!

So let's get with the giving away, shall we? There's going to be a lot up for grabs so I'll try to make it easy to understand. I have 17 Buffy paperbacks with Buffy swag to give away all month long. The last week of March will be a surprise giveaway that you will just have to come back to find out what it is!

Starting today, there will be one new giveaway each week ending March 31st. Winners will be announced at the end of each week on Sundays. So there are FOUR giveaways total. Oh, and each giveaway will have three prizes and three winners. Confused yet? So am I. The easiest way to find out what I'm giving away will be to check in each week on Monday to find out! Hopefully the first one will show how it's done.

Also, next month is my second blogoversary! I'm really excited and grateful for all my loyal followers! It's a lot of hard work running two blogs, keeping up with all the amazing books that seem to come out every time I turn around - but without books and you guys to share them with - there would be a huge void in my life. I hope one day to gradute to filming my own vlogs, but I'm not ready for that just yet! Lol

So anyway, about this giveaway...I have a ton of Buffy paperbacks (11 total) and awesome Buffy swag donated by her #1 fan, my auntie. I love it! I love that all the covers have the same dark background and the title is the only thing that changes color. I'm reading Beautiful Darkness right now so I'm wondering if the gold lettering is any indication of what's to come!

Blogoversary Giveaway!

 

Two more weeks! I can't believe it! When I first started blogging, I had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting myself into. I quickly caught on to how things worked in the blogosphere by checking out other blogs and asking questions. Bloggers are such friendly people, always happy to help and share their knowledge! So now, as my first blogoversary fast approaches, these are the top 5 things I've learned about book blogging:

1. The blogosphere is HUGE! I've realized that non-readers have no idea how big this world is, how strong our voices are and how much we influence the book market.

2. Blogging can feel like a full-time job. My mind is always working the critic angle: always on the look-out for things to share with my followers and making sure I get the news out in a timely fashion.

3. You want followers? You'll have to go out and get them! Yes, some will find you on their own but mostly it's up to you to go out and promote your blog by following or commenting on other blogs or using great sites like The YA Blogosphere or The YA Book Blog Directory.

4. It's not always easy to articulate why you love a book in such a way that encourages other people to read it. Sometimes I just want to post: 

"This book was awesome! You should read it!"

5. I don't have enough eyes or hands to read all the books in my TBR pile!
