Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading in which one grabs her current read, opens to a random page, and gives two "teaser" sentences from that page.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!! You don't want to ruin the book for others!
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The President's Vampire (The President's Vampire #2)
Written by Christopher Farnsworth
Hardcover 335 pgs
The Setup: On page 52, Zack Barrows is describing to us how Cade (the vampire) views the world, threat and prey. He goes on to say that walking in the sunlight isn't his only handicap Cade faces in moving through the human world.
The Teaser: "On a fundamental level, people knew he didn't belong. Simple human interaction was often beyond him. He was a predator. He didn't know how to talk to prey."
That last line is priceless!
